Kate Rubingh's current research is focussed along the Larder Lake Shear Zone and the Hearst assemblage. She is leading a team of researchers along the Ben Nevis - Larder Lake transect, as part of the Metal Earth project at the Mineral Exploration Research Centre, Laurentian University.
Kate came to Laurentian University with a MSci Geological Sciences from Durham University, England, and a MSc Mineral Exploration from Queen's University. At Laurentian, she graduated in 2018 with a PhD in Mineral Deposits and Precambrian Geology, on the topic of "structural controls on gold mineralization at the Snow Lake Mine, Flin Flon - Snow Lake Greenstone Belt, Manitoba, Canada".
