The 2D seismic component of the Metal Earth research project led by the Mineral Exploration Research Centre in the Harquail School of Earth Sciences at Laurentian University is currently underway. Pictured above are four vibration trucks on the 130 km long Chibougamau seismic line. The crew consists of 44 people working 24 hours per day. We anticipate completion of approximately 1000 kilometres of 2D seismic acquisition across the Southern Superior Province and Sudbury by the end of November.
