Ian Campos, P.Geo.

MSc Geology Student

Structural controls and auriferous alteration characteristics, Magino gold deposit, Wawa Subprovince, northern Ontario

I am passionate about structural geology and am deeply interested in understanding how deformational processes contribute to mineral systems. I believe structural geology is an important discipline for mining and exploration and is becoming increasingly valued in industry as new targets become deeper and more complex. After having spent seven years working in geotechnical engineering with a focus on drilling and downhole imaging, I am excited to complement my professional skills with applied research experience and contribute to the development of the Magino gold project alongside our industry partner, Argonaut Gold.
