MSc Geology (Thesis)

Understanding the nature and controls on Ni, Co, and PGE mineralization by focusing on the petrography, geochemistry, and mineralogy of the Crawford intrusive complex.

The aim of my MSc thesis project is to characterize the sulphide assemblages to provide a better understanding of mineralization associated in the Crawford intrusive complex, north of Timmins, Ontario. Applications of petrography, lithogeochemistry, and mineral chemistry will be used to assist with the research.

Originally from Inuvik, I moved to Nova Scotia 11 years ago and received my bachelor of science with honours and co-op in geology at Acadia University in May 2022. I started my MSc in Geology at Laurentian University in September 2022.

My BSc honours thesis was completed under Dr. Cliff Stanley on the lithology and geochemistry of the Nicola Group volcanic and volcaniclastic host rocks to the Copper Mountain alkaline copper-gold porphyry deposit, Princeton, British Columbia, Canada. I applied new lithogeochemical Molar element ratio analysis techniques to these rocks in my BSc thesis.

I am interested in research pertaining to ore deposits using petrology and lithogeochemistry.
