Pouran Behnia
GIS Specialist, MERC / Metal EarthE: pbehnia@laurentian.ca
I am working with the Metal Earth Data Analytics team with Jeff Harris. I use machine learning techniques to integrate geoscience data in order to analyze the mineralization potential for each greenstone belt.
I received a PhD in GIS geological applications from Wuhan University- China, a Masters in petrology from the University of Tehran- Iran, and a BSc in geology from the University of Tabriz- Iran. I completed a 3-year PDF at the Geological Survey of Canada in remote predictive mapping (RPM) and mineral potential mapping (MPM).
