B.Sc. in Earth Sciences (Geology)
This program is designed for students with an interest in obtaining a degree in geology with interests in the physical sciences, chemistry, physics and mathematics, whose career as geologists in the long term will be based in mineral exploration, the mining industry, government agencies, the petroleum industry, or who have a desire to advance to a graduate-level program in earth sciences. This program is designed to ensure students meet the knowledge requirements for professional registration as a geoscientist (see Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario).
BSc in Environmental Geoscience
This program is designed for students interested in environmental aspects of the geosciences. It integrates such disciplines as Geology, Biology, Geography, and Chemistry and prepares students for a long-term career within the environment (mining and the environment and environmental geochemistry) or for advanced studies at the graduate level. This is the environmental program at Laurentian that is designed to ensure students meet the knowledge requirements for professional registration as a geoscientist (see Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario).
